Sales Funnels StrategistLocation: Remote / (if office-based) Lagos, Nigeria Reports to: Growth Marketing Lead / Head of Sales Type: Full-time / Contract (specify)About The Companya digital marketing company focused on helping brands grow online. Their offering includes professional video editing, script writing, social media advertising, app subscription sharing, and broader digital marketing solutions. our model is somewhat hybrid: it helps brands scale via digital marketing while also offering its community the opportunity to save on premium apps via shared subscriptions. Given the dual nature of this business (service + marketplace for shared subscriptions), a Sales Funnels Strategist is critical to drive both acquisition (clients for marketing services) and retention (members/users for shared subscriptions).Key ResponsibilitiesFunnel Design & StrategyMap out the full customer journey for the two core audiences: brand clients (who need marketing / video / content services) and subscription users (who want shared app subscriptions).Develop awareness → consideration → decision funnel strategies tailored for each audience.Identify and design lead-capture points (landing pages, lead magnets, quiz flows, webinar registrations, etc.).Lead Generation & Conversion OptimizationBuild, test, and optimize high-converting landing pages.Run A/B tests on funnel steps (copy, design, offer) to maximize conversion.Implement email nurture sequences (lead magnet follow-up, onboarding drip, reactivation) for both segments.Use marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or similar) to manage and optimize the funnel.Paid Advertising & Traffic AcquisitionWork with Growth / Ads team to drive traffic into the funnel via paid channels (Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, etc.).Coordinate with content creators (video, copy) to produce assets that feed into paid campaign funnels.Monitor, analyze, and adjust ad spend based on funnel performance (CPL, CPA, ROI).Analytics & Performance TrackingDefine and track key metrics for each funnel (e.g., lead-to-customer rate, CAC, LTV, churn).Build and maintain dashboards to report funnel performance.Analyze drop-off points in the funnel and recommend optimizations.Collaboration & Cross-functional WorkWork closely with content, video, and design teams to align funnel creatives with WebDerk’s brand voice.Liaise with product / operations team (for the shared subscription side) to understand how to incorporate user education, trust-building, and retention into the funnel.Align with sales or account management to ensure smooth hand-off from marketing-qualified leads to service delivery.Retention & Upsell StrategyCreate post-conversion strategies (upsell, cross-sell, retention) for existing clients and app-sharing users.Plan reactivation campaigns for churned users.Work on customer loyalty funnels (referral, ambassador, advocacy).Reporting & Strategic RecommendationsProvide monthly (or quarterly) reports on funnel performance.Recommend strategic changes (new funnel ideas, new lead magnets, off-channel experiments).Stay updated on funnel marketing best practices and suggest relevant innovations (e.g., conversational landing pages, interactive quizzes).Required Skills & ExperienceProven experience (3–5 years) in designing and managing sales / marketing funnels for B2B and B2C digital businesses.Solid knowledge of digital marketing channels (paid ads, email marketing, content) and how they feed into conversion funnels.Marketing automation experience: proficiency with tools like HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, or equivalent.Strong analytical skills: ability to interpret data, create dashboards, and make data-driven decisions.A/B testing experience: landing page tests, email sequence tests, campaign optimization.Copywriting skills: good at writing (or guiding) conversion-focused copy for landing pages, emails, ads.Project management & collaboration skills: ability to work cross-functionally with design, content, and operations teams.Retention strategy know-how: experience planning customer retention, upsell, and reactivation campaigns.Familiarity with SaaS or subscription business models is a plus (especially for WebDerk’s shared-apps model).Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or
