Job Description Our client is seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Consultant / Senior Consultant to lead and deliver technical development and support initiatives within SAP environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP ABAP programming, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure quality deliverables. The role involves end-to-end participation in SAP development projects, including requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, and client support.Key Responsibilities Lead teams in technical development and/or support for SAP projects.Conduct sessions with business users and functional consultants to gather and analyze requirements.Design and develop high-quality technical solutions aligned with business needs.Prepare and maintain detailed Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and ensure compliance with functional specifications.Perform development following prescribed coding and quality standards.Prepare unit test cases and conduct unit testing for all developed components.Support Functional Unit Testing (FUT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases.Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues during project implementation and support.Deliver timely and quality outputs in alignment with project timelines.Support end users in resolving incidents within agreed SLA timelines.Collaborate effectively with onsite, offshore, and client teams.Conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions and training for junior team members.Assist the Project Management Office (PMO) with project tracking and reporting.Be available to work in shifts as required to support client engagements.Be willing to travel onsite (short-term or long-term) based on project needs.Key Requirements3–9 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.Minimum one full life-cycle implementation; candidates with 3+ implementations preferred.Strong experience across multiple SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI, PS, PP, HR, or APO.Exposure to onsite-offshore delivery models and working in CMMI environments is an advantage.Technical Skills (Mandatory):Expertise in ABAP Programming with strong RICEFW development experience.Proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP (OOPS), BAPI, SAP Notes implementation, and code pushdown techniques.Hands-on experience with ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and OData Services.Strong understanding of User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, and the new enhancement framework.Experience with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.Practical knowledge in Module Pool Programming, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.Experience in Web Services, Proxies, and SAP Workflow/Flexible Workflow.
