Advanced seeds help mitigate risks such as disease and drought and allow farmers to grow food using less land, less water and fewer inputs.Syngenta Seeds brings farmers more vigorous, stronger, resistant plants, including innovative hybrid varieties and biotech crops that can thrive even in challenging growing conditions.Syngenta Seeds is headquartered in the United States.Job DescriptionThe Senior Account Receivable Manager (ARM) is responsible for high quality and consistent Trade Finance Credit Management (TFCM) operational service support to the local organization in the Philippines, both CP and SEThe role is also responsible to manage Trade Working Capital, both CP and SE, to drive delivery of trade working capital budget for Accounts ReceivablesSupport other ad-hoc finance activities AccountabilitiesHOW:Be a trusted finance partner, supporting all activities in scope, on recurring and ad hoc finance topicsBuild relationships across multiple finance functional teams and commercial teams to share and align best practicesBuild strong business relationships with customersDevelop understanding of Syngenta's business and interaction between the different business units and functional reporting linesWhatCredit Policy: Adopt and roll-out global credit policy with country specific processes and rules and operates all TFCM functions accordingly. This includes financial authorizations according to the local delegation of authority (DoA) reflecting the segregation of duties between the Senior ARM and ARMRisk Management: Identify and mitigate potential credit risks by setting appropriate credit limits and terms for customers, applying different risk mitigation tools (e.g. collaterals)Credit Assessment: Assess the creditworthiness of customers through credit reports, financial statements analysis, and other tools to determine the risk of extending credit. Keeps abreast of market trends and economic conditions that may affect the credit risk of customersCollection Strategy: develop and periodically review the collection strategy to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency; and delivery working capital target for Trade Accounts ReceivablesCustomer Relationships: build and maintain good relationships with customers, which involves negotiating payment plans, accelerating collections and resolving disputes.Credit Control: Implement and maintain a system of credit checks and controls to minimize the risk of late or non-payment.Debt Collection: Overseeing the collection of outstanding debts and the ARM to ensure timely collections and managing overdue accounts to minimize bad debts.Legal Action: Initiating legal or other recovery actions against customers who do not pay their debts.Compliance:Ensuring that all accounts receivable activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.Leads the Country Credit Committee, ensures sound and data driven credit decisions regarding credit limits, bad debt provisions Support Internal and External AuditReporting: Providing reports and updates on credit activities and exposures to senior management: status of accounts receivable, aging of receivables, Bad Debts Doubtful Provision and write-offs, cash flow forecasts, and other financial metrics related to receivablesProcess Improvement: Continuously reviewing and improving accounts receivable processes and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.Critical success factors & key challengesAbility to handle multiple and remote stakeholders, priorities and deadlinesWorking in virtual teamsAbility to make decision independently and to reasonSound professional judgementEffective communication and influencing skills (customers, commercial team)QualificationsCritical knowledgeBachelor in Economics or Finance / BS AccountancyMust be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).Good knowledge of the company’s ERP system (SAP); knowledge of FSCM is preferential.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
