Senior Accounting Manager

A prominent and diversified investment group based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Manager – Accounting to lead and oversee its core accounting functions. This is a high impact leadership role within a dynamic finance team, offering the opportunity to drive operational excellence and contribute to finance transformation initiatives. The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing the General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.ResponsibilitiesOversee prepayments, accruals, provisions, fixed assets, leases (IFRS 16), revenue recognition (IFRS 15), intercompany and related party transactions.Ensure accurate payroll, compensation & benefits accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.Manage merchandise invoice posting, goods return vouchers, non-trade purchasing, utilities, vendor reconciliations, and VAT compliance.Monitor vendor advances, rebates, and aging analysis.Lead invoicing, collections, PDC management, legal case coordination, and ensure revenue assurance and VAT compliance.Directly manage 3 Accounting Managers and oversee a wider team of 60+ professionals.Collaborate with the Finance Transformation team to identify and implement automation and process improvement initiatives.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred).Minimum 12 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, VAT regulations, and financial controls.Proven experience managing large teams in a complex, multi-entity environment.Tech-savvy with a track record of driving automation and digital transformation in finance.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
