Job Description

The Senior Inspector performs receiving, in-process, and final inspection on electronic systems; electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. They are responsible for determining whether parts or assemblies are acceptable based on drawing and specification requirements. The position requires accurate & concise communication between production, project management, shipping/receiving, and quality management.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform all tests, inspections and measurements required by pre-defined instruction and/or experienceConduct inspection of incoming raw materials, first article parts, in-process materials, and finished goodsInspect both work in progress and completed tasks for compliance in accordance with Purchase Order Instructions, Design Drawings & Specifications, Quality Control Plan, Safety, and contractual requirementsMay Coordinate and assist with scheduled inspections with FAA/EASA regulatory personnelDevelop training and train junior individuals on inspection equipment and methodsMay Travel to various local and international supplier facilities to preform inspectionsPerform other quality-related tasks as assignedRequirementsPreferred Qualifications and/or Education:6+ years of experience working in a Quality Inspection roleExperience in aerospace electromechanical quality control inspectionExperience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 QMS environmentMust be able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, specifications, etc. per ASME Y 14.5 and ASME Y 14.100 and able to train junior inspectorsAble to read and interpret service manuals, diagrams and schematics relative to installation and repairsWilling and able to train junior inspectors on how to use various inspection equipment6+ years of experience using mechanical/electrical inspection/test tools (calipers, micrometers, multi-meters, surface plate, height gauges, comparator, gauge blocks, thread gauges, etc.) and/or 6+ years working with FAA CFR Part 21 requirements performing and presenting parts for regulatory conformity inspections should be able to issue 8130's & Form 1sSolid knowledge of AS9102 FAIR requirements and able to train junior inspector on its completionMust have a clear understanding of document types that are impacted by Configuration Control Changes; e.g. Drawings & Specifications, Procedures and Work InstructionsPrevious experience working with an ERP or MRP systemsProficient computer skills (MS word, Excel, Outlook)BenefitsThe starting pay range for this position is $25.00 to $31.00 per hour however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.In addition to a comprehensive package of health benefits that include company contributions, Safran Passenger Innovations offers a variety of additional benefits and perks to enhance your work-life balance experience including but not limited to:A home allowance to elevate your home workspaceDiscretionary bonus programFuture financial security with a 401(k) program with a company matchPaid time off covering vacations, personal time off, and sick days, capped off by an exciting year-end holiday shutdown
