Senior Category Manager (Maternity coverage)

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Category Manager to lead and optimize our category strategy, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business goals. This is a key leadership role where your insights and expertise will directly impact our commercial success and customer satisfaction.SENIOR CATEGORY MANAGER (Maternity coverage)Responsibilities:• Develop and implement the overall strategy for the dedicated category in line with the company strategy;• Monitor and control the effective execution of the annual plans per subcategories;• Shape a competitive assortment in the respective category aligned with the company strategic direction;• Analyze customer needs and market insights in order to drive innovations and optimizations in the category;• Negotiate and maintain the trade terms and relationships with domestic and international suppliers;• Constantly look for new opportunities for growth and identify new suppliers;• Implement company pricing strategy within the dedicated category;• Plan, negotiate and execute effective promotional activities;• Ensure optimal assortment placement of the dedicated product categories in the different types of stores;• Monitor and analyze all KPIs associated with the performance of the respective category, achieve the set goals and drive company growth;• Lead strategic company projects that drive optimization and progress;• Work in a close collaboration, manage and develop a team of category managers and assistants.Requirements:• University degree, preferably in Economics, Trade, etc.;• 3-5 years of professional experience in Category Management/Procurement in Retail/FMCG sector;• 1-3 years of managerial experience in leading, developing and engaging people;• Strong negotiation and stakeholders management skills;• Strong analytical and data processing skills that drive decision making;• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build effective working relationships;• High self-motivation with strive for continuous learning and professional development;• Ability to multitask under pressure;• Excellent self-organization, goal-orientation and proactivity;• Highly proficient in MS Office;• Excellent language skills in English;• Good common of German language is considered an advantage.What we offer:• Challenging opportunity for long-term career development in a multinational company;• Work in an open and friendly environment;• Dynamic and achievement-oriented team;• Competitive remuneration;• GS1/Nielsen Category Management training and certification;• Close coordination with the company's management and REWE's international team.If you are interested in our opportunity, please send your CV.Your application data will be treated with strict confidentiality.
