Key to your success as a Senior Category Manager is your ability to work alongside analysts to draw key observations and translate the insights into commercial actions.Tricks of the tradeCategory strategy: Take ownership of your category, identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and profitability.Commercial initiatives: Develop and implement initiatives across assortment, pricing, promotions, and packaging to maximize commercial impact.Supplier management: Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive collaboration to ensure high-quality products and smooth operations.Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Customer Service to align initiatives, resolve challenges, and deliver results.Data-driven decisions: Analyze category performance and customer insights to make informed strategic decisions that drive measurable impact.Continuous improvement: Identify and implement improvements in processes, product offerings, and category performance.Your superpowersMaster’s degree with exposure to analytical problem-solving4-6 years of work experience, preferably as a category manager and/or buyer in a commercial and analytical environment Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into actionable insightsExcellent negotiation and commercial skills with a proactive mindsetAbility to manage complex projects and stakeholders across the businessDrive to deal with day-to-day operations, swift problem-solving skillsA genuine passion for food and/or consumer products Fluent in English (Dutch, French or German is a plus!)Picnic perks🥗Fresh Lunch, coffee, and snacksOur offices are equipped with fully-fledged coffee bars and a kitchen and chefs.
