Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Electrical - Maintenance Department

Reports to: Director, Maintenance MEPPurpose: The role is responsible for managing AUC’s electrical infrastructure, while ensuring the effective integration and performance of related energy systems.Responsibilities:Electrical Operations and Maintenance: Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all electrical systems through strategic planning, preventive and corrective maintenance, and emergency response readinessWorkshops and Technical Teams Management: Lead and develop technical teams across electrical, fire alarm, and infrastructure workshops, ensuring high performance, safety compliance, and continuous skills developmentCapital Projects and Systems Integration: Manage electrical design and integration for campus projects, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and successful commissioning and documentationEnergy Plant and Infrastructure: Contribute to managing the Energy Plant and critical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, system integration, and compliance with operational and contractual standardsEnergy Technical Evaluations of Systems and Upgrades: Engage in conducting evaluations and overseeing installations to ensure energy systems deliver optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and alignment with emerging technologies General Administrative Support: Perform other related duties as requestedRequirements:Minimum Education Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is requiredMaster’s degree is preferred Experience:A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electromechanical engineering, facilities management, and electrical infrastructure projectsSkills:Infrastructure Management and Resilience: Advanced knowledge of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems, electrical networks, and emergency power systemsSystem Integration and Automation: Expertise in SCADA, BMS integration, controls, and fire alarm systems Energy Strategy and Optimization: Proven ability to conduct energy technical evaluations and assess emerging technologies, e.g., solar and advanced controlsProject Management: Strong project management, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills Compliance and Operations: Deep understanding of safety standards and statutory regulations governing electrical systemsThis position is open until November 16, 2025Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
