Senior QA Engineer Lead

Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior QA Engineer Lead to drive quality assurance initiatives for large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test strategy, planning, execution, automation, and leadership within Agile environments.Key ResponsibilitiesTesting FundamentalsApply core testing concepts, levels (ST, SIT, UAT), and techniques.Lead testing strategy aligned with business goals.Support team in selecting and applying suitable testing techniques.Test Planning & DesignDesign ST/SIT test scenarios and automation using Selenium.Apply boundary analysis, equivalence partitioning for optimized tests.Define data and environment requirements.Own test approach, estimation, and planning for large projects.Manage conflicts and ensure coverage analysis across multiple teams.Test Execution & ReportingConduct end-to-end test execution, analyze results, log and track defects.Ensure traceability and optimize execution processes.Mentor team members on best practices.API TestingExecute manual API tests and automate using Postman/Newman, REST Assured.Integrate API tests into CI/CD pipelines and build reusable frameworks.Defect ManagementDrive defect triage meetings and influence resolution priorities.Ensure clarity in defect logging and lifecycle management.Automation SkillsDefine automation strategy and enforce coding standards.Configure CI/CD jobs, manage branching/merging, and resolve conflicts.Promote shift-left testing and continuous automation.Tools & TechnologiesJira, Confluence, Selenium, Postman/Newman, REST Assured, CI/CD tools.Agile PracticesParticipate in Agile ceremonies and deliver automated tests per sprint.Advocate test automation best practices across teams.Leadership & MentoringMentor QA team members and influence overall QA strategy.Facilitate cross-team collaboration and stakeholder communication.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of testing fundamentals, test design techniques, and automation frameworks.Hands-on experience with Selenium, API testing tools, and CI/CD integration.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to manage large projects and mentor junior team members.
