Job DescriptionBASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:This position is to coordinate locally all tasks between cross functions such as planning, purchasing, engineering and manufacturing team, to ensure being able to manufacture & assembly all products in the designated production area of Ceramics plant in line with all quality requirements and the customer’s demand. Specifically, Acts as an assembly production engineer, be responsible for manpower and work order planning surrounding Ceramics assembly facilities. Monitors WO order variant and updates routing (std cost) for accounting to roll up Std cost accuracy. Monitors monthly expense cost from “cost center” report. Works with supply chain stakeholders (production planner, purchasers, etc) to arrange assembly production to optimize labour resource and staff overtime. Supervises all assembly technicians (15+), Oversees routine situations, emergency prepared Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls by participating in Lean, Six-sigma, Kaizen, FMEA, 5S, and yield enhancement activities. Educational Background Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science, Mechanical Engineering & Technology, Manufacturing Engineering specialisation is preferred. Working Experience 2+ years of related experience in the precision manufacturing and assembly processing companies. 1+ years of supervising production team members is preferred. Assembly of precision machining units with clean room are strongly preferred. Experienced working in SAP ME/ERP or equivalent software is a plus.Safety RequirementsAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
