If so, we’d love to hear from you!Purpose of the role:Summer Job in Norway – Subsurface Data ManagementAreas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:Seismic & Well Data Management: Assist in loading, quality controlling, and cataloguing seismic and well data in Petrel and Studio. GIS & Spatial Data Handling: Work with ArcGIS or similar tools to manage spatial datasets and support mapping workflows. Data Governance & Quality Assurance: Participate in data validation, metadata enrichment, and compliance checks aligned with Harbour’s governance standards. Database Maintenance: Update and maintain subsurface databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Improvement Projects: Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and assist in implementing new solutions. Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience:The summer student should be in their final year of a bachelor’s or master’s level in relevant fields such as geoscience, petroleum engineering, data science, GIS, information management, or IT. Digital and QA Skills: Experience with, or ability to learn subsurface data types and platforms (Petrel, Studio, ArcGIS, etc.). Communication Skills: Good written and verbal skills for reporting and documenting tasks performed. Knowledge of GDPR and Data Privacy: Familiarity with regulations related to data privacy and handling is beneficial.
