Morgan McKinley is working with a leader in healthcare manufacturing to recruit a Supply Planning Manager to join their team in Waterford. The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply planning process to ensure product availability, optimize inventory levels, and support business growth. This role oversees demand translation into supply requirements, manages production and replenishment planning, and collaborates with cross-functional teams—including Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Sales—to maintain a balanced supply chain.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead, mentor, and develop the local planning team, ensuring effective execution of daily and long-term planning objectives.Oversee and refine the site’s S&OP process, ensuring timely and accurate communication of supply plans and performance metrics to key stakeholders.Manage production scheduling to balance customer demand, capacity utilisation, and inventory targets, while minimising waste and obsolescence.Monitor distribution centre inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained within defined parameters to support global supply commitments.Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure accurate planning parameters and efficient material flow across the network.Partner with operations on prioritisation of backorders and low-stock items, providing clear recovery timelines and service updates.Support new product introductions (NPIs), ensuring production readiness, material availability, and no risk to launch timelines.Forecast production requirements and lot profiles for upcoming months to support resource and materials planning.Lead and contribute to projects aimed at improving planning systems, manufacturing efficiencies, and supply chain performance.Maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Key Requirements:6+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or inventory management within FMCG, manufacturing, or consumer goods industries.Proven experience leading S&OP processes and managing multi-site supply networks.Strong analytical skills with a track record of optimizing inventory and improving service levels.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced planning tools.
