Title: Systems Test EngineeringLocation: Sulzbach Am Taunus Am LimesparkJob Start Date - 12/01/2025Job End Date - 09/30/2026Technical Skills:Must Have1-2 years of experience in relevant field of studies OR none if candidate is a fresh graduate in communication fieldAbility to travel and work in EU countriesApprenticeship as system integrator / programmer or electrical engineering studies (BA / MA) – preferably in the communication area.Excellent team worker with ability to work and focus in the test van as daily tasks are performed only in the field testing in the van.Network knowledge: Routing / Firewall / Debugging of problems.Software test experience OR taken courses in Mobile communications (good 4G/5G technical understanding).Very well versed with PC and Windows OS / Driver installations .Nice To HaveAbility to (pre) fund travel expenses via a credit cardTravel availability in 4 out of 5 weeks (atleast expected travel -60%)The Frankfurt team is responsible to test the latest communication chips in the various European networks to ensure our chips are working no matter which operator or infrastructure equipment (E//, Nokia, Huawei) and which frequency bands or technology (LTE & 5G) are used.We are testing prototype phones running either Android or LE. Most of the testing is semi-automated – tester has to upgrade software, has to make sure automation is set up correctly and runs nicely and the right test environment is found. The tester has to observe and report any issues during test execution in a daily report and has to upload all logs collected to a server.Some tests are e.g.: Upload / Download speed under different network / test conditions. Call success and retention rate while driving.Testing is done in Frankfurt and surroundings and also elsewhere in Europe. Candidate should be flexible with BT.Business trips (BT) usually start on Sunday evening / early Monday morning and end Friday afternoon.Most testing is done in test vans (VW Bus / Mercedes Sprinter). Professional driver services do the driving. Tester is sitting in back with laptop and multiple phones.We work in small teams (2-3 people) – whereas the consultant is usually the only person on test site – the other folks guide on test execution and are analyzing in back office the failures and escalate the failures to development teams.Training is done on the job.
