TAX ACCOUNTANT (with Australian experience)We're expanding rapidly and looking for an enthusiastic Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. About the Role: We're seeking a proficient Accountant to join our compliance team due to strong organic client growth. The role is focused on a production and technical output - Ideal for someone who enjoys the compliance side of accounting, without the pressure of sales targets or direct client management. You will work closely with your Team Leader, OPM, Client Director and Associate Client Directors within your team. This role would suit an individual who is comfortable managing their own workflow and is keen to contribute to a high performing and positive team culture. Key Responsibilities: • Supports the TL and OPM in the performance of their duties; • Accurately enters all transactions daily/weekly/monthly into accounting system; • Performs bank reconciliations for all client bank accounts; • Preparation of payroll for multiple entities on a weekly basis; • Preparation of monthly or Quarterly PAYGW, PAYGI or Business Activity Statements including fully reconciled VoB workpapers; • Preparation of quarterly superannuation returns for all entities as required; • Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory deadlines and submission of returns for clients by the deadline; • Reconciles general ledger accounts with external records (eg ATO integrated client account, super and payroll tax); • Able to competently prepare a fully reconciled VoB • Maintains and builds a supportive and effective team culture; • Upholds and promotes the firm’s values; • Maintains the highest ethical and professional standards; Essential Skills and Experience: • At least 4 + years’ experience in accounting, preferably AU accounting firm. • Basic Skills with XERO, MYOB, QuickBooks or equivalent. • CPA/CA/CIMA qualified or equivalent. • Basic experience working with Building and Construction / QBCC clients. • Strong technical and problem-solving skills. • A proactive, team-oriented attitude • Strong technical knowledge of tax and compliance • Experience with Karbon (Desired but not essential) • Intermediate Word and Excel skills; • Excellent oral and written communication skills; • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Benefits of Working with Us: 1.
