In Australia, we are supporting major transformation programs and are currently seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst.Technical Business Analyst – Data & Delivery | Melbourne-Based | HybridWe’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst with proven experience in data-driven environments, strong delivery exposure, and the ability to operate across business and technical teams. This role will support a complex data migration project involving AWS, Databricks, and SQL-based pipelines.📍 Location: Melbourne, Australia Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6–12 months (extendable) Type: Permanent or contractor Key Responsibilities:Lead requirements gathering and documentation for data migration initiativesTranslate business needs into functional and technical specifications for data engineers and architectsEngage with cross-functional teams to drive alignment between business stakeholders and technical deliveryTrack and coordinate deliverables across data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and reporting layersSupport testing, validation, and data quality processesMonitor project progress and contribute to agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retros)Required Skills & Experience:5+ years as a Business Analyst or Technical BA in data-focused environmentsStrong understanding of cloud data platforms – especially AWS and DatabricksExperience working on data migration projects, including legacy-to-cloud transitionsProficient in querying and analysing data using SQLConfident in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and mapping data flowsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsBonus Points:Experience with ETL/ELT workflows and cloud-native data toolsUnderstanding of data governance, quality, and lineage conceptsPrior involvement in large-scale transformation or platform migration programsWhat We Offer:Work on a high-impact data transformation programCollaborate with a skilled, multi-disciplinary delivery teamCompetitive daily rate and long-term engagement potentialBe part of Maltem’s growing presence in the Australian tech landscape
