Shape the Future of Energy.Middleton Group is seeking a highly experienced Technical Director to drive excellence in engineering design and technical delivery across our Secondary & Protection team. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to influence major energy infrastructure projects, mentor the next generation of engineers, and help shape a sustainable future for our clients and communities.As a recognised expert in your field, you will provide strategic technical leadership, ensure the quality of our design outputs, and play a key role in developing our people and growing the business.What You'll DoTechnical Leadership & DeliveryLead and oversee design and engineering projects, ensuring exceptional technical quality, compliance, and innovation.Approve or review design deliverables to ensure accuracy, usability, schedule and cost expectations are met.Champion engineering standards, best practices, and sustainable design principles that support carbon reduction and community benefit goals.People DevelopmentMentor and develop emerging engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration and technical excellence.Partner with team leaders to identify development opportunities and ensure teams remain at the forefront of industry advancements.Work Winning & Business GrowthLead proposal development, client engagement, and market strategies to secure new opportunities aligned with Middleton Groups growth objectives.Build and maintain strong industry networks to enhance the firm's technical reputation and business presence.Strategic InfluenceContribute to the business planning process, offering insights that shape our technical strategy and project delivery models.Collaborate across teams to drive innovation and maintain Middleton Groups position as a trusted advisor in the energy sector.About YouYou are a respected technical authority with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering outcomes and developing others.
