US Equity Research Analyst

Our Global Equity platform is seeking a skilled US Equities Analyst specializing in the Industrials and Utilities sectors to deliver high-quality research for several Europe-based global equities teams. The position is located in London or Frankfurt.What You Will DoAct as industry expert, able to clearly explain fundamental trends, the drivers of earnings and returns and the most appropriate means of valuation for the sectorProvide a formal regular screening of the sector, focusing on highlighting areas of change and/or interest where best ideas are most likely to be generatedDiscuss potential investments and present best ideas by writing timely buy/sell investment reportsBe able to compare US and European industrial stocks providing additional value to the stock selection process in the global equities fundsProvide ongoing maintenance of stocks held in the portfolios, upgrading models and making recommendations, contributing to the overall performanceParticipate in reviewing peer company reports by reading and commenting upon themParticipate in marketing and client service meetings as required.What You Bring5 to 10 years of investment experience analyzing US equities, ideally gained in an international investment management firmAll cap investment experience preferred and ideally growth at a reasonable price with a proven track record of alpha generationA passion for investing with high convictions (stocks, sectors, countries) within a clear risk framework and with a sustainability mindset (ESG)Strong data, analytical and financial modelling skills; the ability to promote investment ideas proactively to portfolio managersA detailed working knowledge of US companies in the Industrials/Utilities sector currently or in the recent pastReasonable understanding of European Industrial/Utilities stocks for global comparative purposesExcellent academic qualifications including a university degree plus a professional qualification; preferably an MBA, Chartered Accountant and/or alternatively a CFA and ideally an ESG CFA moduleAnalytical and strategic thinker with sound judgment and confidence in decision-making, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oralMulti-regional perspective with an interest in global cultures and willingness to travelCommitted to social responsibility with a strong interest in sustainability, environmental stewardship, and ethical practicesHighly motivated and organized professional with strong initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
