For Recruiters: - At this time, WLC is not accepting 3rd party candidate representation for this role.Position Details:- VoIP Testing Scripter/Programmer- Full time contract position, fully remote.- Mon-Fri normal business hours following the seasonal EST (UTC-5) and EDT (UTC-4) time.- After hours maintenance Sun-Sat nights, as required and scheduled in advance.- Member of the Infrastructure Engineering, Operations, and Planning group, reporting into the Manager of Infrastructure.Responsibilities:- Build, operate, manage, and improve upon an automated VoIP testing system that performs: Volumetric testing to determine the maximum session/load capacity on each call segment/servicePeriodic 5-minute interval health checks to identify and alert on any feature/function/service failure across the entire VoIP production network.Qualifications:- Quiet and secure workspace with a minimum of 2 good quality Internet connections, from which to complete WLC tasks and responsibilities using WLC-provided equipment. - Fully capable of creating automated volumetric VoIP testing, analysis, and reporting tools/programs/scripts specifically designed to determine the maximum (safe and breaking) session level limits on voicemail, fax, IVR, queue, SBC, signaling, DB queries, etc. platforms/services/infrastructure utilized on a large distributed VoIP HPBX and CPaaS class 4&5 network.- Fully capable of creating 5-minute interval VoIP testing, analysis, and reporting tools/programs/scripts specifically designed to detect any failed, delayed, or abnormal condition across all features/functionality/services on a large and distributed production VoIP HPBX and CPaaS class 4&5 network.- Comfortable automating the analysis of retained VoIP metrics from prior volumetric and periodic test sequences to determine trends, project or anticipate constraint events, and identify specific locations that require attention to avoid resource exhaustion or VoIP service failures.- Deep configuration and functionality knowledge of SIP/RTP software/daemons/applications/protocols.- Exhaustive systems administration, programming, and scripting experience on Linux (CentOS, Redhat, and Oracle 9 distributions).- Proven ability, and confident in, generating a stable environment that can produce in excess of 30,000 sessions with high quality results.
