NHL fans on social media reacted to Edmonton Oilers forward Kasperi Kapanen’s outburst at practice. Kapanen appeared to injure himself during the team’s morning skate on Thursday. The 29-year-old was visibly frustrated as he left the ice, smashing his stick and sending several others flying before exiting. Kasperi Kapanen had been working hard to return to the lineup. He has not played since Oct. 19 due to a lower-body injury and only recently rejoined Oilers practices. Here's how fans on X (formerly called Twitter) reacted. One tweeted:"Buddy found out they aren’t trading Skinner."M̳c̳D̳a̳v̳i̳d̳ ̳S̳Z̳N̳ ✝️🏒🍁 @CookedBy97LINK@TSNRyanRishaug Buddy found out they aren’t trading skinnerAnother chimed in:"My goodness, some actual emotion on this team. Too bad it comes this way, but it's good to know that someone on that team cares about playing. Now if they'd only show something like this in practices after losses."Here are some of the other top reactions on X:"That’s the most emotion anyone on this team not named Clattenburg has shown all year," a third fan wrote."I mean.. Probably didn't mean to send sticks everywhere. People point out he earns a mill a year but he's on a 'prove it' type contract, another injury could cost him multi-millions over the remainder of his career," one X user opined."He just found out they are giving Skinner an extension," another wrote."Emotion!!!! Any type of emotion shown by this team is great. It means they still care. Hopefully whatever Kapanen did, doesn't hinder his return," another chimed in.How has Kasperi Kapanen fared for the Oilers?NHL: Preseason-Vancouver Canucks at Edmonton Oilers - Source: ImagnKasperi Kapanen has notched two points in six games this season.
