Our client, an emerging leader in the agricultural sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and preparing financial reports. He or she will be reporting to the head of finance. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take their career to the next level.Key Tasks And ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate and timely reporting of financial dataMonitor budgets, forecasts, and variances related to expendituresPrepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timelinessManage and reconcile accounting transactions, preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports tailored to stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulations and financial standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including those set by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA)Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and documents, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actionsCollaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and supportAnalyze financial data, providing insights and recommendations to managementProvide financial analysis and insights specific to agricultural practicesSupport management in strategic planning and decision-making processesRequirementsACCA, CIMA, Degree in Accounting or equivalent is requiredMembership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) Minimum of 4-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the agriculture industryStrong understanding of agricultural accounting principles and practicesProficiency in accounting software (particularly, Sage 300) and Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of financial regulations affecting the agriculture sectorExcellent analytical skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication, organizational and time management skillsAbility to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholdersExperience with budgeting and financial forecastingFluency in English for written and verbal communicationAbility to work independently and as part of a larger teamMust have a valid drivers licenseHow To ApplyPlease apply before 21st November 2025.
