Job Description

My client is a well-established, reputable General Contractor in Chicago who performs work nationally. They specialize in light industrial, cold storage, medical, commercial and retail projects, completing roughly $300M in annual revenue. Due to continued growth and a strong project backlog, they are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Project Engineer to join the team.ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projectsTrack project schedules, identified delays, and coordinated with subcontractors and vendors to maintain critical deadlinesPrepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch lists, ensuring accurate and timely communication across project stakeholdersConducted site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and verify compliance with safety standards and local building codesFacilitate weekly project meetings with subcontractors, engineers, and architects to resolve issues and maintain alignment on project goalsUtilize Procore and Microsoft Project to manage documents, track schedules, and streamline communication with field and office teamsMaintain comprehensive and organized project documentation, improving team access to records and supporting successful audits and inspectionsCollaborate with the Superintendent to ensure daily tasks were completed on time and met project specificationsQualificationsB.S.
