That is how we do business.About the roleThis role in our CBD office will provide you with a challenging and rewarding career where you will be exposed to a wide variety of tax issues and clients.In this role, you’ll work closely with clients to help grow their businesses, offering practical advice and leading engagements from planning through to delivery. You’ll supervise team members, review financial reports and provide clear, accurate guidance on tax and accounting matters.You’ll be part of a collaborative team, working with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver high-quality service and drive performance. If you’re detail-oriented, commercially minded, and ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with clients to identify business issues, develop strategic plans and implement solutions for sustainable growthDraft accurate and technically correct advice on accounting standards, tax compliance and business management principlesAnalyse and interpret client financial reports and management accounts to provide actionable insightsAdvise on tax-effective strategies including trust income distribution, group structures, FBT, GST, PAYE, and indirect taxesSupervise medium to large jobs through to review stage and conduct final reviews for small to medium engagementsDemonstrate strong problem-solving skills and escalate complex issues appropriately for resolutionCommunicate complex concepts and solutions clearly and effectively to clients in both verbal and written formatsMotivate, mentor, and develop team members to foster a high-performance culture within BASExperienceWe are looking for someone who is experienced, has strong commercial acumen and looking for career growth with:Ideally 5 + years of business advisory experience in a CA environmentAccounting background and/or working towards CA qualificationExcellent communication skillsStrong technical and analytical skillsYour Future at BDO AucklandWhen you join us, we’ll make your growth our priority.
