Position: Beauty Shop ManagerLocation: Lekki, LagosEmployment Type: Full-TimeReports to: Managing Director / Business OwnerRole Overview:The Beauty Shop Manager will oversee the daily operations of the beauty store, ensuring exceptional customer experience, smooth workflow, staff productivity, and strong financial performance. The ideal candidate is a well-presented, business-savvy individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for beauty, retail, and customer service.Key Responsibilities:1. Operations ManagementEnsure the beauty shop opens and closes according to schedule.Oversee daily store activities and maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment.Maintain inventory levels; monitor stock usage, order supplies, and prevent product shortages or overstocking.Ensure all equipment is functional and coordinate repairs when necessary.Enforce safety, hygiene, and quality standards across the store.2. Customer Service ExcellenceProvide a premium customer experience that reflects the brand’s standard.Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.Monitor service delivery from staff to ensure high satisfaction and retention.Build strong relationships with clients, including VIPs and recurring customers.3. Staff Leadership & Performance ManagementSupervise and motivate beauty technicians, front desk personnel, and other shop staff.Conduct staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage and efficient workflow.Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of staff.Conduct performance reviews and enforce discipline when needed.Promote a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.4. Sales & Revenue Growth:Drive sales through product recommendations, promotions, and customer engagement.Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.Develop and implement strategies to increase foot traffic and client retention.Monitor POS systems, manage cash handling, and ensure accurate financial reporting.5. Marketing & Brand Promotion:Work with the owner/marketing team to execute promotions and campaigns.Manage the shop’s social media content (if required).Build partnerships with influencers or vendors to strengthen brand visibility.Ensure product displays and branding materials are up to standard.Education & ExperienceMinimum of OND/HND/BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or relevant field.2–4 years’ proven experience in retail management, beauty shop/salon management, or customer service leadership.Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership and people-management skills.Excellent communication and customer service abilities.Confident, professional, and well-presented personality.Knowledge of beauty products, salon procedures, and trends (an advantage).Strong sales orientation with ability to meet revenue targets.Proficient in POS systems, basic accounting, and inventory software.Ability to multitask, solve problems, and work under pressure.Key Attributes:Customer-centric mindsetStrong attention to detailHigh level of integrityCreativity and initiativeTeam-player with a positive attitude
