Recognised as a Great Place to Work, the practice values technical excellence, creative problem-solving, and a design-led approach to the built environment.About Your New Job as Civil Design EngineerDesign civil and site infrastructure for buildings and mixed-use developments (drainage, grading, utilities, site layout).Collaborate with architects, landscape designers, and structural teams.Prepare and review design drawings, reports, and specifications per Irish Building Regulations.Use BIM and 3D modelling tools (Civil 3D, Revit, MicroDrainage).Manage project deliverables across all design stages.Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical assessments.Liaise with clients, planners, contractors, and local authorities.Contribute to sustainability and climate-resilient design strategies.What Skills You Need as Civil Design EngineerBachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering (NFQ Level 8 or higher).5+ years’ experience in civil engineering design, ideally within an architectural or consulting environment.Experience in site development design for buildings (e.g., commercial, residential).Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit.Strong understanding of Irish planning procedures and Building RegulationsExcellent communication and coordination skills, with a collaborative mindset.What’s on OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.A supportive and inclusive work environment.What’s NextApply now by clicking the “Apply Now" button or call me, Thomas Hyland on 01 474 4690, Or email your CV - thyland@sigmar.ieIf the job isn’t quite right but you are looking for something similar, please get in touch.
