Supervise and handle paperwork during production phase. Coordinate all communications between Project Managers and Production. Responsible for having the knowledge of mechanical design and ensure the integrity of system applications and modifications to meet specific project requirementsResponsibilities Maintain set schedules on all assigned projects and work with the Engineering team to maintain a smooth workload Provide guidance and meet with vendors to ensure scheduled deadlines are kept Document and maintain best practices for drawing checks, RFI's and engineering change orders Responsible for exceptional fabrication drawings and checking paperwork Help with solutions to assist the customer’s issues Overlooking and training all Engineering Technicians as well as establishing policies and procedures Accountable for continuous improvement to reduce costs and increase marginRequirements Five+ years of experience in shop applications or five+ years’ experience in engineering field of glazing systems Exceptional knowledge of the hiring company’s systems, procedures, and products Strong leadership and technical skills required Mechanical understanding and the ability to grasp concepts needed Important to have an understanding of fabrication procedures and field assembly techniques of building envelope and storefront systems Ability to work in a rapid paced departmentPlease Note: This is an abbreviated Job Description.
