Field Ops/Maint Advisor

Position OverviewThe Field Operations/Maintenance Advisor is responsible for supporting field activities related to facility assessments, building inspections, maintenance reviews, and compliance verification. This role requires strong technical expertise in interpreting engineering and architectural documentation, evaluating building conditions, and ensuring adherence to relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements. The advisor will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and safety teams to deliver high-quality evaluations and recommendations that support safe and efficient facility operations.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct field inspections and assessments of buildings, systems, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.Review and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection drawings and specifications.Evaluate the condition of existing buildings and systems and prepare detailed reports outlining findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.Verify material, equipment, and system specifications against approved standards and project requirements.Provide technical support to field teams regarding construction quality, building safety, and maintenance practices.Coordinate with engineering, safety, and operations departments to ensure alignment on technical and compliance requirements.Maintain thorough documentation of inspections, audits, and materials reviews.Communicate technical issues clearly to internal stakeholders through verbal briefings and written reports.Minimum Job RequirementsDemonstrated ability to interpret and review architectural and engineering drawings.Proven experience inspecting and evaluating existing buildings for compliance with codes and standards.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Selection CriteriaQualificationsBachelor’s degree in one of the following preferred fields:Structural EngineeringElectrical EngineeringTelecommunicationsInstrumentationElectronicsMechanical EngineeringFire ProtectionCivil EngineeringArchitectureArchitectural EngineeringOccupational Health and SafetyCrowd ManagementWork ExperienceRelevant experience in building safety, construction, inspection, facility maintenance, or fire protection engineering.Technical RequirementsAbility to interpret and review architectural and engineering drawings.Ability to review and verify material and equipment specifications against standards and project requirements.Skills RequirementsStrong verbal and written communication skills in English.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Certification RequirementsProfessional certifications related to inspection or safety of buildings and systems, such as (but not limited to):Building Safety InspectionMechanical Systems InspectionElectrical Systems InspectionFire Protection Systems Certification (e.g., NFPA-related certifications)
