We are proud of the products and services we provide to our valued clients in the Education sector. To support our next stage of growth, we are seeking a dynamic Head of Marketing to lead our marketing function, reporting to the Director of Marketing. This role is pivotal in translating strategic vision into actionable plans, ensuring the marketing team delivers high-impact campaigns, while maintaining operational excellence. The Head of Marketing will combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, managing priorities across a small team and driving innovation to achieve ambitious growth objectives. Working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, you will be someone who can face rapid change with a smile and thrives on making a positive contribution to driving agreed strategies forward as a strong advocate.  This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, based at our Newcastle Head Office, with travel to other UK offices as required, including meeting once per month with the team at our Sheffield Office. Job Responsibilities / Key AccountabilitiesWork closely with the Director of Marketing to develop and execute marketing strategies for the Group and individual businesses, aligning activity with revenue targets and growth objectives, across multiple brands. Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency of tone, messaging, and visual identity across all channels. Lead the day-to-day marketing function, prioritising and re-prioritising and balancing long-term projects with urgent tactical needs. Oversee and support the execution of integrated campaigns across digital, social, content, events, and PR channels. Ensure marketing activity is data-driven, reporting on KPIs and ROI to inform decision-making. Line-manage and mentor marketing team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Manage team capacity and prioritisation to deliver projects on time and to a high standard. Champion new technologies and approaches, including AI-driven tools and marketing automation, to enhance efficiency and creativity. Work closely with colleagues across sales, product development, and other teams to ensure marketing supports lead generation and conversion. Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and monitoring return on investment. Embodies the Edwin brands and sub-brands, acting as a visible brand ambassador online and offline. Able to have an eye across operations, while retaining strong attention to detail. Able to both support and constructively challenge in a professional manner.Act as an ambassador for the Group’s ESG Strategy ensuring both you and those whom you manage share a commitment to adopt, promote and comply with ESG policies, developments, and initiatives.Person SpecificationDegree in Marketing or related field (or equivalent professional qualification).Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally as Head of Marketing or equivalent. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating small teams, Able to balance strategic and operational priorities, with both a high level overview and attention to detail. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth.Hands-on experience delivering integrated campaigns across multiple channels.Commercial mindset with ability to link marketing activity to business outcomes.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and to shape, influence and motivate.Proficiency in marketing analytics and tools (GA/Looker Studio, HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday.com or similar) and comfort with adopting and driving new technologies.Creative flair and ability to bring innovative ideas to life.Knowledge of AI tools, marketing automation, and data-driven decision-making. (desirable)Demonstrable commitment to ongoing personal CPD, such as involvement with CIM, attendance or involvement with marketing networks, professional training etc. (desirable)Experience in education or service-based sectors. (desirable)
