Our Profile In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.To Ensure The Achievement Of This Large-scale Project, G Mining Ventures Is Looking For An Experienced And Motivated Individual To Fill The Position OfSurveyor The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting and overseeing all surveying activities at the mine site, including measurements, mapping, and monitoring of the site’s boundaries, features, and infrastructure. This role will ensure the precise location and layout of the mine are accurately documented to support mining operations, safety, and resource management.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct and oversee all surveying activities on the mine site, including topographic surveys, underground and surface measurements, and as-built surveys.Utilize advanced surveying instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS, laser scanning, etc.) to gather accurate data.Produce detailed, high-quality survey reports, maps, and drawings.Provide surveying support for mining operations, including designing, staking, and monitoring of drilling, blasting, and excavation activities.Assist in the development of mine plans, layouts, and design adjustments based on ongoing surveying results.Measure and monitor changes in the mine’s infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Monitor and update survey databases with precise and timely data.Coordinate with other departments (e.g., engineering, geology, safety) to ensure surveying activities aligned with mining objectives and timelines.Ensure all surveying activities are conducted according to legal, environmental, and safety standards.Provide mentoring and training to junior surveyors and field assistants.Perform regular site inspections and audits to assess accuracy and efficiency of ongoing surveying processes.Collaborate with the project management team to ensure proper mine design and operational implementation.Qualifications/Skills And ExperienceTechnical certificate and or Diploma in SurveyingAt least 2 years proven experience as a surveyor, preferably in a mining environment Strong proficiency in survey equipment, GPS systems, and surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, SURPAC).Familiarity with mining software and 3D modeling tools is an advantage.Knowledge of mining operations and regulatory compliance standards.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.The ability to work in a challenging and dynamic environment, often outdoors, and in remote locations.Ability to work both independently and in a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Working ConditionsPosition based at the OKO Project site. Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days OffTransport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.
