As Specialist - Production Driller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing drilling operations, ensuring the successful execution of underground mining projects.The Ideal Candidate Must HaveMinimum of 7 years of experience in drilling operations in underground miningStrong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and safety practices in underground miningDemonstrated experience in planning and executing drilling programsProficiency in drilling software and toolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively within cross-functional teamsWillingness to work in remote locations and adapt to varying work conditionsKnowledge of PNG mining regulations Mining certifications and licenses as required by relevant legislation Willingness to work in remote locations and adapt to changing project requirementsValid and current PNG Driving License is desirableJob ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and optimize drilling operations for underground mining projectsDevelop drilling programs based on project requirements and geological dataCollaborate with project teams to ensure drilling activities are aligned with project objectives and timelinesConduct performance assessments of drilling equipment and recommend maintenance or upgrades as neededImplement and monitor drilling safety protocols and proceduresAnalyze drilling data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and efficiencyCollaborate with geologists and engineers to evaluate drilling results and make adjustments to drilling programsStay updated on industry trends and advancements in drilling technology and equipmentProvide technical guidance and training to drilling personnelCollaborate with procurement teams to ensure adequate supply of drilling materials and equipmentMaintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with PJV Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health rules and proceduresMobilization Requirement This position is open to PNG Citizens OnlyRotation is FIFO 28 days on and 14 days offAbility to successfully pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screeningMust Have an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months)
