This role is responsible for supporting and executing procurement activities across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and delivering value through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management. The Procurement Specialist will work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to meet project requirements and deadlines.ResponsibilitiesIssue RFQs and manage bid package preparation, evaluation, and documentation Prepare and administer Purchase Orders (POs) Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliersExpedite material orders and resolve schedule conflicts Collaborate with project teams and client procurement representativesMaintain confidentiality in all bidding and procurement activities Manage PO discrepancies, revisions, and closeouts Develop supplier lists and conduct evaluations Monitor supplier performance and milestone dates Administer and distribute procurement reports Support continuous improvement and strategic planning Ensure compliance with policies and regulations Participate in planning meetings and mentor junior staff What You Will BringTechnical and Industry Education & Experience RequirementsIntermediate-level experience in procurement, supply chain, or contract experience Experience with engineered equipment and project procurementProficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SPM or Aveva ERM is an asset Strong negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management Experience in oil & gas or construction environments preferredPeople SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal, coaching, and mentoring abilities Ability to influence decisions and drive results High level of discretion and confidentialityOtherAdaptable and open to change Strong attention to detail Ability to travel regionally Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationEducation – Qualifications, Accreditation, TrainingDegree, diploma, or certificate in Supply Chain Management or related field SCMP or PMAC (C.P.P.) designation preferred Formal training in procurement, contract law, or business planning is an assetMoving forward togetherWe’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can bring themselves, and are heard.
