Job Description

Role PurposeThis role drives SCG’s talent acquisition and employer branding strategy for Chinese-speaking markets—primarily mainland China and Thailand—by enhancing brand visibility, building trust with Mandarin-speaking audiences, and turning targeted engagement into strong talent pipelines. It covers both strategic outreach and hands-on recruitment for Mandarin-speaking professionals across business units. Additionally, the role supports youth programs, internships, university relations, and key initiatives that enhance SCG’s “China-ready” employer brand.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Talent Acquisition (Chinese-Speaking Talent Focus)Tailor and execute job posting campaigns across China-focused platforms (WeChat, Liepin, embassy channels, student associations, C9 universities).Source, screen, and shortlist candidates who are native Chinese speakers or Thai bilinguals with Mandarin capability.Build partnerships with Thai embassies in China, Chinese community groups in Thailand, alumni networks, and university programs.Maintain and grow the “China-Ready” CV Pool segmented by skill, language capability, and job function.Ensure compliance with SCG hiring policies while localizing experience for Chinese-speaking candidates and job-based selection standards.2. Employer Branding DevelopmentLocalize SCG’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP) for Mandarin-speaking audiences, in line with “Organization of Possibilities” and “Two-Home Culture” narrativesLaunch and manage SCG's WeChat Employer Account, aligning content with Chinese talent behavior and cultural contextCreate content (Mandarin–Thai/English) and coordinate production of bilingual campaign materials: testimonials, intern stories, leadership messagesTrack Net Promoter Score (NPS) and brand sentiment among Chinese-speaking candidates and interns (aligned with NPS targets)Support employer branding activities, e.g., case competition program, internship program, manage outreach for China–Thailand internship, and strengthen partnerships with universities, C9 institutions, and student associations.Lead SCG’s presence in case competitions, campus workshops, talent talks, career roadshows, and embassy-led fairs.Create bilingual materials and collaborate with Chinese-speaking interns to produce Mandarin-language content for social media and campus branding.3. Channel Management & ReportingManage content, posting activities, and monitor performance across WeChat and other local Chinese platformsTrack performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, CV pool growth) using language-based segmentationProvide monthly analytics reports and quarterly executive summaries to the Head of TA&EBDrive talent database visibility for internal business units needing Chinese-speaking candidates4. Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Workforce AlignmentLiaise with relevant BU HRs to map future demand for Mandarin-speaking rolesLead quarterly talent briefings with key stakeholders (CHR Director and VP CA) on CV pool health and emerging candidate trendsSupport onboarding and experience for Chinese-speaking interns and new hiresQualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chinese Studies, International Business, International Relations, HR, or related fieldLanguages: Fluent in Mandarin (HSK 5 or native equivalent) + Thai or English proficiencyExperience: 0–3 years in Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, or International RecruitmentDigital Fluency: Familiar with WeChat and job board operations (e.g., Liepin)Soft Skills: Cultural agility, storytelling mindset, analytical thinking, relationship management, and event coordinationPreferred: Experience studying/working in China, experience hiring bilingual/China-focused roles, familiarity with campus activities or youth programs
