Aligned with PNG’s national priority to build an educated and skilled workforce for resilient economic growth, SWLT aims to enhance the quality, relevance, and inclusiveness of skills development. The program will work closely with TVET stakeholders and select technical colleges to grow the number of skilled individuals with industry relevant skills.This OpportunityAs Security and Logistics Manager you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and management of safety and security measures, including incident coordination, risk assessments, and staff and visitor briefings, as well as managing program fleet and logistics.This Will Include Developing and implementing operational policies for safety and security, and for fleet, program logistics and travel, in line with Palladium corporate policies and DFAT standards Managing and coordinating responses to security incidents and conducting regular safety assessments across offices, vehicles, and adviser accommodation Delivering security briefings, monitoring staff travel, and maintaining emergency communication protocol Managing logistics operations including vehicle maintenance and scheduling, asset tracking, and team supervision Maintaining intelligence networks and providing regular safety reports to leadership Promoting continuous improvement, innovation, and alignment with SWLT principles, and participating in and advocating for gender equality, disability and social inclusion, safeguarding, and environmental sustainability initiatives. About YouYou will have experience in: Managing safety and security protocols, including incident response, travel monitoring, and creating/maintaining protocols which align with corporate security frameworks Identifying and managing complex programmatic risks relating to safety and security, including the ability to provide and implement risk mitigation strategies Managing crises and critical incidents with tact, ensuring the confidentiality and dignity of all persons involved Managing large fleets of corporate vehicles Additional Key Requirements Include Comprehensive understanding of digital platforms including the Microsoft 365 Suite (Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and work automation platforms such as MS Planner, MS Project or Monday.com The ability to mentor, coach, and lead diverse teams, fostering a positive culture of learning, open communication and collaboration. Performance management of staff through working with team members in setting key performance indicators, monitoring the results and applying remedies as required First aid, fire safety and other emergency response training Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills, applied in dynamic and complex settings Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team-based environments And you must have had a valid, unrestricted manual drivers license for two or more years.
