The Opportunity: Architect We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architect to join our dynamic team in Port Moresby. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to significant architectural projects within PNG and the Asia Pacific, working alongside a team of seasoned professionals and leveraging the extensive resources of the Peddle Thorp global network.Key Responsibilities ·      Lead and manage architectural design projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards. ·      Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation using industry-standard software such as REVIT.·      Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution. ·      Conduct site visits, assessments, and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design intent. ·      Work alongside the Practice Manager to produce winning proposals for Architecture and Principal Consultant engagements.·      Mentor junior architects and provide technical guidance and support. ·      Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and advancements in architectural technology and sustainable design. Qualifications and Experience ·      Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution. ·      Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in architectural practice, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. ·      Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. ·      Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction practices. ·      Excellent design, technical, and problem-solving skills. ·      Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities. ·      Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. ·      Registration with the Papua New Guinea Institute of Architects (PNGIA) or eligibility for registration is highly desirable.
