If any of that sparked major joy, then this is the position for you!As goodr’s Senior Accountant, you’ll be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting. This will include: financial statements, journal entry creation, ensuring all of CEO Carl the Flamingo’s shrimp is accounted for (and not lost at sea), account reconciliation, and support of our year-end audit process. You’ll also deal with financial policies, internal control, and other activities as requested (such as playing with the office dogs, like Cashew or Bosco). The ideal candidate would be able to hit the ground running and be an integral member of the Finance Team. Like what you’ve heard so far? Below are some even more exciting details!ResponsibilitiesEnsure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing in accordance with GAAPPrepare financial reports and financial analysisPrepare monthly journal entries for prepaids, accruals, amortization, fixed assets depreciation, loyalties, ROU assets, royalties, etc.Review, prepare and analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and provide variance explanationsPerform analysis of operations such as COGS, landed cost and margin analysisAssist in developing and implementing accounting policiesAssist to streamline monthly close processSupport corporate tax filing preparation, year-end audit preparation, and analysisHelp develop and maintain financial internal controlsAssist in system implementationBack-up support to A/P and A/RNo direct reports – you get to lead the charge, without managing your fellow flamingosThis role is in the Finance team and will report directly to the Director of FinancePerform other related duties as assignedAbout The Ideal CandidateMay or may not have a degree...we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)5+ years of comparable work experience with knowledge of GAAPA master at Excel (it’s a MUST!)Loves a budget!
