Wood has been awarded an Onshore Brownfield project to support an International Client operation for delivering FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning Services. Commitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Job ObjectiveProvide advanced constructability input to engineering by optimizing construction knowledge and experience to reduce construction costs; improve quality, safety and productivity; shorten construction schedules; and reduce or eliminate construction inefficiencies.Assist with the development of the project execution plan, bid submissions, construction methodology and strategies. Provide construction technical support to the customer and the Wood discipline engineering team, throughout the FEED and detailed design phases of a project.Support project controls in developing the build sequence/construction schedule and proactively risk managing of the schedule. Provide input to the contracting strategy and during bid clarification process.Assist with Development of Fabrication Sequences, Identify Early Works Opportunities. Monitor Progress of Subcontractors and Fabricators.Act Team member in the constructability team, guiding conversion of engineering designs into construction workpacks and overseeing work of others. Responsible for the delivery of construction deliverables to the required technical standards to support and facilitate site construction activities.Key Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for delivery of construction work packs which give clear activity breakdown and detailed narratives for all construction activities.Contribute discipline experience to the ongoing development of project work methods, processes and team development.Carry out a review of all discipline design deliverables, resolve minor issues and escalating more serious issues to more senior construction staff or relevant engineering discipline. This will include input at scope survey and engineering stage.Deliver against agreed planned work scopes ensuring obligations are met by way of timely completion of work packs.Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution.Ensure that all plant and equipment is fully certificated and controlled cost effectively.Ensure effective control and Delivery of all Fabrications, Equipment and material.If identified, react to change in scope, inform necessary parties and complete the necessary change management documentation.Check installation quality and subsequent verification are completed in accordance with requirements.Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.Contributes to assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance. Assisting with the delivery and timely execution of the project/contract/service and ensure the contract requirements are satisfied.Track and manage fabrication activities to ensure vendors meet agreed timelines and delivery targets.Working RelationshipsInternal: Continuous involvement with project delivery, engineering, planning, QA/QC and HSE.External: Regularly interface with client, vendors and subcontractors on a tactical levelLevel Of Influence & Decision-Making AuthorityWork requires the consideration of future implications beyond the immediate problem and is not closely supervised, although outputs are subject to managerial review. Work is performed under general direction and is reviewed for conformance with policies and general efficiency. Level of discretion is governed by established practices, procedures and policies.Role has a considerable level of influence on medium term operational outcomes through the provision of advisory and operational services.QualificationsWhat makes you remarkable? It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges.ExpectedTypically, minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma / apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experienceKnowledge, Skills And ExperienceAppropriate level of construction experience in relevant industry sector, typically a minimum of 15 years of construction engineering experience if degree qualified OR trade discipline qualified with a minimum 15 year relevant practical experienceHave a broad and deep technical knowledge of construction discipline and associated processesAbility to identify risk to delivery and build in mitigation / contingency plans.Substantial experience of interpreting discipline documentation.Sound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS) and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS).Substantial knowledge and understanding of technical specificationsUnderstands the business drivers within customer organizations and how these can be influenced by innovative designs and cost-effective solutions.Personal AttributesGood interpersonal organisational, communication and team building skills.
