Senior Process Engineer

Position SummaryThe Senior Process Engineer is responsible for leading and performing process engineering activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient design of FPSO topsides and associated systems. The role involves developing process simulations, performing calculations, reviewing vendor documents, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and client requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review process design deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Heat & Material Balances, and process datasheets.Perform process simulations and calculations for key process units such as separation, compression, gas treatment, water injection, and utility systems.Ensure that all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.Participate in design reviews (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and 3D model reviews).Support the preparation of design philosophies, process descriptions, and operational procedures.Review and approve vendor process documents and ensure consistency with project design intent.Provide technical support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.Interface with other engineering disciplines to ensure overall design integrity.Support optimization, debottlenecking, and troubleshooting of process systems.Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 8–12 years of process engineering experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in FPSO or offshore projects.Strong background in topsides process systems including separation, dehydration, compression, gas treatment, produced water treatment, and utilities.Proficient in process simulation software such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent.Familiar with international design codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).Experience with safety and risk assessment studies (HAZOP, SIL, etc.).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and lead technical discussions with clients and contractors.
