User Interface Designer – Freelance

An independent game developer is seeking a talented freelance UI designer to create custom graphics and user interface elements for a new match 3 puzzle game, inspired by popular titles in the genre. The project requires a creative professional who can deliver a visually cohesive and engaging experience across 250 levels, with a focus on original tile designs and polished UI components. The game’s theme will be disclosed after initial discussions, and the designer will play a key role in shaping the visual identity for the first app store release.Deliverables Design six distinct color tiles, each with six unique visual styles, ensuring clarity and appeal for players. Develop a complete set of UI elements, including menus, buttons, icons, and in-game overlays, maintaining a consistent visual language. Create assets optimized for mobile platforms, considering various screen sizes and resolutions. Collaborate closely to refine the visual direction and incorporate feedback throughout the design process. Prepare and deliver all final assets in appropriate formats for integration into the game engine.Requirements Proven experience designing UI and graphics for mobile games, preferably in the puzzle or casual genre. Strong portfolio showcasing original tile and interface designs. Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar. Ability to develop cohesive visual styles and adapt to different themes as required. Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback. Availability for a single project with potential for future collaboration.
