SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue, and building strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development and a deep understanding of the industry with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial or other B2B financial service industry. If you also have a can-do attitude and a desire to develop skills, knowledge and experience, in pursuit of achieving goals, then you're the person we are looking forResponsbilitiesNetwork DevelopmentIdentify, engage and grow relationships with referral partners, including finance brokers and other introducers.Maintain regular contact and communication to build trust and ensure consistent deal flow Provide product knowledge, updates, and guidance to referral partners to support their successDeal OriginationSupport referrer to conduct initial assessment of referral data for completeness, serviceability and alignment with credit policy.Support referrer in preparation and submission of complete information file to credit, to ensure accuracy and a timely turnaroundPipeline ManagementProactively follow up on leadsSupport the smooth progression of applications through credit and settlement (as required) Performance and complianceMeet or exceed agreed origination, conversion and relationship targetsEnsure all activities comply with company policiesUphold a high standard of professionalism and ethical conduct at all timesWhat You NeedKnowledge: Sound understanding of equipment finance products and processesSkillsStrong relationship-building and communication skillsProven ability to show initiative and work collaborativelyPractice open and honest communicationNegotiation and ability to articulate valueCapabilities: Extensive experience in managing high value accounts and dealing with key stakeholdersGood time management skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships and client projects simultaneouslyAbility to resolve issues, manage deadlines and prioritise work loadsWork as part of a marketing and sales unit in a collaborative environmentQualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related fieldProven track record of success in business developmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partnersExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational and time management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
