The ASSET Research Group at UTS is seeking a motivated Graduate Research Assistant to join a project exploring data sonification through traditional rabab music. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine computational design with creative musical expression, integrating technology and cultural sound practices.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science.Required computing skills: Unity, Python and Data Sciences and interactive media development.Ability to play the rabab and create original rabab tunes.Keen interest in combining music, technology, and research (data sonification).TermsMonthly allowance: RM 1,500.00 (for 24 hours)The selected candidate will must enroll in the Master in Computer Science program at UTS.The allowance does not cover tuition fees or accommodation.How to ApplyInterested candidates should send the following to Prof. Tariq Zaman (tariqzaman@uts.edu.my):A brief CV (including academic background and relevant experience)A short note or audio sample demonstrating rabab playing or compositionA paragraph explaining your interest in integrating music and computing
