We are building an app to enhance mental health in Singapore by creating a voice-based platform where anyone can anonymously share their feelings and thoughts, and instantly receive empathetic echoes from others. By fostering authentic connections through voice, Echo aims to combat isolation, reduce stigma around mental health discussions, and provide immediate support—ultimately contributing to a more connected and resilient Singaporean society. Role OverviewAs a Mobile React-Native Developer Intern, you'll join our small team to build the MVP of Echo's cross-platform mobile app over 2 months. Your work will directly support the launch of a tool that promotes mental well-being across Singapore, enabling anonymous voice interactions that build community and offer crisis support.ResponsibilitiesDevelop user-friendly interfaces for voice recording, playback, and interaction features on iOS and Android using React Native.Implement core user flows including onboarding, content discovery, and community engagement. Integrate audio handling, location-based elements, and notifications to enhance user experience. Ensure a warm, accessible design that aligns with our human-centered philosophy. Collaborate on testing and preparing the app for store submission.RequirementsProficiency in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript. A can-do attitude, self-starter mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication. Passion for mental health and social impact; students from top universities encouraged.What We OfferDuration: 2 months (full-time, flexible hours). Salary: 1500-2000 SGD per month.Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project using AI for good, with potential for portfolio-building and references.
