Senior Mechanical Engineer - Quantum Systems📍 Location: Singapore 🔬 Domain: Optomechanics, Vacuum Systems, Structural/Thermal FEA, Precision Manufacturing 🎓 Ideal for: Driven Mechanical Engineers with 5+ years of experience in complex hardware development.We’re hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing Quantum Gravity Sensors for our client. You will be responsible for developing solutions to improve sensor performance while making the device compact and robust for global field deployment.You’ll be joining a deep-tech company that is revolutionising the resource exploration and navigation industries. Our core technology involves developing quantum sensors using cold atom interferometry, where atoms are cooled to nearly absolute zero using lasers.🔍 What you'll be doing:Designing and fabricating jigs, mounts, and fixtures for optics, electronics, and vacuum assemblies.Creating CAD models and engineering drawings, including the use of GD&T for dimensioning and tolerance stacks.Selecting appropriate manufacturing processes for the precision fabrication of optomechanical components.Conducting structural, vibrational, and heat transfer analysis (FEA) to ensure sensor robustness in harsh environments.Designing temperature and vibration control systems for various subsystems.Liaising with international supply chain partners (e.g., China, Germany, USA).🧠 What you bring:High proficiency with CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor / Solidworks.Deep knowledge of manufacturing techniques, surface finishing, and assembly.Proficiency with hands-on fabrication, including use of a machining lathe, CNC, and 3D printers.An absolutely driven individual with creative problem-solving skills, analytical mind, and persistence.Experience in a full product development cycle for a device with a complex system architecture is a plus.Even better if you have: Experience in thermal design, including heat sinks, heat pipes, and FEA for thermal simulations.🌍 Why it’s exciting:You will be working on the cutting edge of quantum technology.This technology has vast potential applications, including advancing the zero-carbon energy transition and enhancing inertial navigation systems.Opportunity to design, prototype, test, and refine Quantum Gravity Sensors.A chance to learn about the intricacies of deep-tech research, product development, and strategy in a high-growth startup.Work within a multicultural team.📩 Sound like you? Apply today to find out more!
