Location : Rosehill, SydneyEmployment Type : Full Time - in office Harry the Hirer is Australia’s leading events and exhibition solutions company. As an ambitious and future driven business, it is an exciting and fast paced environment. We are seeking a new Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team in Sydney.About the Role:We are seeking a proactive and creative Social Media Coordinator to support the Social Media (who is Melbourne Based) in delivering engaging content across our platforms. This role will work on exhibitions, private and major Sydney events such as Sydney Everest Carnival, United Cup Tennis, SXSW, NRL State of Origin Series & TCS Sydney Marathon. This hybrid role combines copywriting, content coordination, and hands-on content creation. From gathering information about upcoming events and projects, to being onsite capturing photo and video, you’ll help bring our brand to life online. With strong communication skills and a motivated, can-do approach, you’ll play an essential role in amplifying our voice and growing our digital presence in Sydney.Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with overall brand and marketing goals.Assist in managing day-to-day social media operations across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and any emerging platforms.Create and maintain a Sydney content calendar that reflects key business initiatives, events and milestones.Draft and schedule engaging posts aligned with the content calendar and business priorities.Monitor channels for engagement opportunities and respond to comments/messages.Community engagement, replying to comments and collaborations with our audienceContent Creation & Coordination Work closely with our Sydney internal teams to gather information about events, source stories, updates, and assets.Attend events and onsite activations to capture photography, videography, and behind-the-scenes content.Edit content (short-form video, reels, images) to ensure high quality and brand alignment.
