The ideal candidate will combine strong business and data understanding with hands-on analytical expertise and emerging leadership skills. This role will support the POD Lead/Delivery Lead and act as their delegate when required—contributing to delivery governance, driving issue resolution, and supporting end-to-end execution within the delivery POD.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analyst looking to expand into team leadership, delivery management, and cross-functional coordination while remaining technically hands-on.ResponsibilitiesAct as a delegate for the POD Lead/Delivery Lead in their absence. Contribute to sprint ceremonies, stakeholder meetings, and delivery planning sessions. Lead and oversee regular JIRA reviews with Data Leads to track progress, risks, and dependencies. Help triage delivery issues, identify blockers, and drive resolution across engineering, modelling, and analysis teams. Provide leadership and support to analysts and modellers within the POD. Review, validate, and provide feedback on code developed by analysts and modellers, primarily in Python/PySpark. Act as a hands-on reviewer for analytics and data transformation work. Validate QA outputs from modellers and analysts to ensure accuracy, robustness, and alignment with requirements. Conduct significant data analysis using SQL and other analytical tools/languages. Support development and maintenance of data pipelines, transformations, and logic as required. Apply SME knowledge of WCL-type products (or be able to build expertise quickly). Ensure alignment of analysis and development work with product requirements, regulatory expectations, and business logic. Skills & Experiences To Get The Job DoneStrong experience in data analysis, with the ability to extract, manipulate, and interpret complex datasets. Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, and familiarity with programming languages (Python/PySpark preferred). Hands-on experience reviewing technical work, including code, QA outputs, and data transformation logic. Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery practices. Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence outcomes. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision. Nice To HaveExperience with project or delivery management, including leading workstreams or small teams. Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and big-data tooling. Familiarity with JIRA or similar workflow management tools. Experience with WCL product data models and frameworks. Proactive, organised, and delivery-focused. Comfortable leading discussions, challenging assumptions, and presenting findings. Keen to grow into a leadership or delivery management role. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
