intelligence.Backed byTechstars Berlin, leading surgeons across the US and EU, and senior medtech and AI executives.Role OverviewAs the Clinical Research & Partnerships Associate, you will support clinical pilots, coordinate with hospitals, assist with study readiness and IRB processes (with guidance from internal MDs/PhDs), track endpoints and data collection, and contribute to scientific outputs with XENA’s clinical advisors.You will work closely with surgeons, PhDs, and partner institutions to ensure clinical collaborations run smoothly, generate high-quality data, and produce real evidence for our AI models.This role sits at the intersection of clinical execution, research coordination, and institutional relationship management.This is an early-career, high-visibility role with regular travel to world-class US academic medical centers.What You'll DoClinical Studies, Pilots & IRB ReadinessCoordinate study setup and execution with PIs, surgeons, and research teamsPrepare IRB-ready materials and track submissions with site IRB offices (guided by XENA’s MDs/PhDs)Keep sites study-ready: MRI acquisition, case collection, endpoint capture, and documentationMonitor sites remotely or on-site to ensure alignment with protocols and good clinical practiceMaintain study documentation, reports, and training materials for partner institutionsData GovernanceCoordinate secure MRI data transfer workflowsEnsure proper de-identification, metadata consistency, and dataset loggingMaintain accurate records for XENA’s dataset pipeline across all sitesEndpoint ManagementWork with surgeons and scientific advisors to define study endpointsEnsure consistent capture across all institutions and pilotsPrepare structured summaries for internal analysis and publicationsScientific CommunicationContribute to abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and white papersPrepare clear clinical summaries for internal, scientific, or commercial useShare study insights with product and engineering teams and support application of findingsPartner CoordinationAct as day-to-day liaison with top US/EU academic medical centersSupport medical advisory board meetings and ensure clear follow-throughBuild strong, proactive relationships with surgeons, research staff, and internal teams to maintain smooth study progress and high partner engagementExperience & Skills0–3 years in clinical research, study coordination, or scientific/medical affairs (Master’s or PhD counts toward experience)Strong written communication for protocols, summaries, and scientific documentationComfortable working with surgeons, PIs, and hospital research teamsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple institutions and timelinesFamiliarity with medical terminology, basic GCP principles, and clinical workflowsAbility to support scientific leaders (MDs/PhDs) on endpoint discussions without owning research design — through documentation, summaries, and
