Our platform brings together food delivery, marketplace shopping, courier services, ride-hailing, mobility, and professional services — all in one smart ecosystem. We’re expanding rapidly and seeking a bold, energetic, and persuasive Vendor Acquisition Lead to spearhead the onboarding of restaurants, shops, pharmacies, service providers, and retail businesses.Role Overview: The Vendor Acquisition Lead is responsible for growing the Tap & Order marketplace by identifying, pitching, onboarding, and nurturing businesses. You will be the face of Tap & Order to vendors — educating them, helping them set up on the platform, and ensuring they start receiving orders smoothly. This role is perfect for someone confident, street-smart, convincing, and excited about driving growth.Key ResponsibilitiesVendor Recruitment & OnboardingIdentify and target potential vendors: restaurants, shops, grocery stores, pharmacies, boutiques, service providers, etc.Pitch the Tap & Order platform with confidence and clarityLead physical visits, sales calls, and WhatsApp outreach to recruit vendorsCollect business details, menus, product lists, and imagesSupport vendors with onboarding, account setup, and going liveVendor Relationship ManagementAct as the primary contact for all newly onboarded vendorsEnsure vendors understand how to accept orders and manage their dashboardMonitor vendor activity and troubleshoot operational issuesBuild long-term relationships that encourage loyalty to the platformPerformance MonitoringTrack vendor activation and performance metricsIdentify inactive vendors and re-engage themWork with the operations and marketing teams to boost vendor salesMarket Research & ExpansionMap out high-potential vendor clusters and commercial areasGather insights on market trends, competitor offerings, and product needsSuggest new categories and vendors for platform expansionCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with the Operations Manager and Marketing TeamSupport promotions, campaigns, and onboarding activationsProvide feedback to improve vendor experience and platform featuresQualificationsDiploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, or related field1–3 years in sales, vendor acquisition, merchant onboarding, or field marketingStrong communication and persuasion skillsMust be confident approaching businesses (face-to-face and online)Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environmentStrong negotiation skills and high emotional intelligenceExperience with delivery apps, marketplaces, or retail ecosystems is a plusSmartphone literacy and ability to learn new software quicklyWhat We’re Looking ForA persistent closer — someone who doesn’t fear “No”A friendly communicator who builds trust easilySomeone who can walk into any business and pitch without hesitationA • self-starter who works with minimal supervisionSomeone hungry to grow with Tap & Order and earn high commissionsCompensationBase salaryPerformance-based commissionsBonuses for hitting onboarding targetsTransport allowance for field workHow to Apply: Submit your CV and a short note explaining why you’ll excel in this role. 📩 Email: careers@taporderafrica.com
