Job detailsWe are seeking two (2) Technical Delivery Managers who are self-motivated and experienced to drive the multiple technical components of a critical Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) program, GovAI, with the objective of increasing the adoption of AI across Australian Government. A number of technical work streams have been identified. The ideal candidate/s will engage with these initiatives, oversee end-to-end delivery, and take a hands-on role where their expertise aligns. They will work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to shape and implement technology systems and processes, ensuring successful initiative outcomes.The ideal candidate will be instrumental in:Shaping the technical direction of a number of AI focused technology initiativesActively engaging hands-on to plan and execute project deliverablesEngaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, both technical and business focused.They will be supported by a number of technical and non-technical team members and where required will engage specialists to deliver aspects of their initiatives.The ideal candidate must posses proven skills and demonstrated experience in the following areas:Successfully delivering Whole of Australian Government ICT programs and servicesDemonstrated experience in delivering complex ICT or digital transformation projects involving a wide range of stakeholder groupsUnderstanding of and experience with regards to technologies/solutions, government use-cases, and policies including the responsible use of AI.Experience in delivering systems which have been accredited through the Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) processes and engaged in Penetration Testing exercises.Technical qualifications to support the role duties will be advantageous. Key duties and responsibilitiesKey duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Work with subject matter experts to align technical capability against business outcomesApply and correlate aspects of the policies and guidelines to translate them into secure, reliable solutions.Engage with conceptual initiatives and work with non-technical stakeholders to determine value propositions and requirements for technology-based service offeringsProvide technical advice on the integration of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, cloud, automation) into existing systems and services.Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to specificationManage risks, dependencies, and delivery constraints, including those related to data privacy and ethical use of technologyPresent technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Manage and perform aspects of design, development, implementation and ongoing operation of technical solutionsMentor, train and support colleagues to help understand and communicate the intent and benefits of the delivery aspects better.Develop and manage the delivery of design documentation, configurations and procedures in-line with the consultations with key stakeholders.Work with internal and external stakeholders to prioritise work and manage expectations, including the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels.Adapt technical advice and delivery approaches in response to shifting technology landscapes.Perform a range of technical roles to progress the development of technology-based solutions, and engage specialist resources where required
